First and foremost, Happy Birthday Adam!!! How's it feel to be 30, you old man?
Secondly, today I had the privilege of shooting my friend Valisha's daughter Beyah's 4th birthday party. They held it at a candy shop where all of the kids were able to make chocolate dinosaurs and flowers.

I had to take Jackson to the doctor today because he still has a fever. He didn't really eat breakfast and didn't nap at all. To say it was a long day would be an understatement.
Once Kelly got home from work, he made mint juleps and we watched the Kentucky Derby! Since It's also Cinco de Mayo, we had to have Mexican food for dinner. It was delicious :) I've always wanted to go to the Kentucky Derby in person - dress up, wear a big hat, drink mint juleps...Maybe one day. I'd also love to go to Napa and drink wine for a few days.
I only got this picture today since Jackson was so cranky:

Abigal had rice cereal for the first time today. The little chunker ate it like a champ! She didn't make any faces and only started to whimper a little after she ate about 5 baby teaspoons.
Jackson still isn't feeling well. I made him eggs and he looked at me like "Are you kidding me, woman?":

Jackson woke up feeling a little better. He was definitely acting normally, but he still had a very low grade fever. I decided that since he was acting OK that I would take him and Abigail and meet my mom for lunch. We had a great time and Kelly ended up meeting with us after school. He took the kids home so my mom and I could do some shopping at Babies R Us. When I got home, we took Jackson's temperature again and it shot up to 103! Mother of the year right here. :( We called the doctor, gave him Advil and a luke warm bath, and it got down to 101.7. If he still has a temperature tomorrow I'm going to have to bring him back to the doctor. It's amazing - when I left him after lunch he looked fine, but an hour later he looked horrible.
Some good news - my backdrop stand came in today! I also ordered some seamless paper and my business cards. I can't wait until they get here!
Here's a couple of pics using my backdrop stand. I clipped up a blanket and put Abby's doll on the beanbag:
I took this right before his bath. Poor kiddo:

I think Jackson came down with whatever virus we had, because he was running a slight temperature today and was acting really cranky. We ended up taking him to the doctor because between those symptoms and the fact that he didn't sleep last night I would rather be safe than sorry. The doc said that he's coming down with something (his throat was red but the strep test was negative) and to just keep monitoring him for the next few few days. Poor kiddo!
Because he wasn't feeling well, I didn't subject him to modeling for my pics lol. Instead, like a good mommy, I got some funny ones of Abby mid-cryfest. She was mad because she wanted to be held and we were busy.
This picture is so sad :( Single tear:
Of course she perks up whenever I play "My Girl":

Abby is 6 months old today!!! Wow time flies!!!
And here she is before bed tonight sucking her thumb. So tired...
Her "Whatchu talkin' 'bout?" face:

None of us are really feeling well so we spent most of the day inside. My ear is killing me, Kelly's throat hurts, and Jackson woke up after we put him down for bedtime crying (which he rarely does). Speaking of which...he just woke up again. It's going to be a lonnnnng night.
This is how I woke up to find Abby this morning. It's cute...until you realize she's covered in poo on her stomach.

We had a meeting with early intervention today regarding the amount of services Jackson is going to receive. Because they are a "family model", they had to fight to get him 2 days a week of speech. The development pediatrician wants him to have 4-5 days a week. So it looks like we will be going through insurance to make up the difference. He will also be receiving OT 1 day a week and DI 1 day a week. Let's just say we are going to be very busy. I was happy my dad was able to come to the meeting and hear about what we need to do for Jackson.
Jackson loves to be around his dad...especially when he's holding Abby lol.
Here's a few pictures of Kelly feeding Abigail. You should see the way she looks at him - it's so sweet!!!
