I'm going to try something new...entering a photography contest. Click It Up a Notch is hosting one and I love their site, so I decided to enter there for my first one. You need to enter your favorite picture from the month of May. Here's my favorite - look at the pure joy on his face!!!

OK I skipped a few days.  I really didn't want to, but between Jackson's therapies and trying to get my business off the ground (it's doing awesome btw) I've been incredibly busy. I had headshots for my friend Steph's high school theater class on Thursday, then on Saturday we had Kelly's cousin Meghann's wedding. I don't feel comfortable posting pics from my business on here unless I'm friends with the person (you can see those on my business website), so here's the wedding pics (taken on my crappy point and shoot):

We didn't get back from the wedding until 2am and I didn't get to sleep until 3am. On Sunday I had my first newborn shoot, and needless to say I was exhausted!!! The baby was beautiful, and even though she didn't sleep at all until the very end, I got some good shots.

Today is Memorial Day (woohoo summer!!!). We went down the shore to get some lunch and walk around, and when we got home the kids played in the baby pool and with the water table and Kelly cooked ribs.

Yay I took pictures today!!! Today Jackson FINALLY started Speech Therapy with Miss Galina. She seems really nice and said that she thinks we will give it a couple of weeks but she thinks she will want to see Jackson 3x a week. That makes me really happy, but also really sad. I just wish that he didn't need all of this help, but I am glad that he's getting it. If that makes sense.

Check out Abby's diva pose. I love those rolls!!!

Today I went to the doctor to have him read my MRI. He told me that the bone is healed, but the ligaments are still messed up. He said that I need intensive PT 2-3x a week for 5-6 weeks. He said that the reason that the PT didn't work before is because it was too soon. He said that my ankle will never be 100% unless I get surgery, but if I'm ok with it being 70-80% then I don't need the surgery. I'm not sure if I'm ok with 70-80% effectiveness, but I *really* don't want to have surgery.

Sorry, no pics again. I suck. Between my doctor's appointment and the fact that Jackson started Occupational Therapy today with Miss K, I just didn't have time. He did really well today with OT and Miss K seems nice. I hope that we resolve his issues soon.

Sorry no pictures from today. I'm still recovering from editing the pictures from my session yesterday, plus it's pouring!!! Jackson did really well with Ms. Peg today at developmental intervention. Other than that, it was a pretty uneventful day.

May 20, 2012

I had such a great day today! First I had an awesome photo session with my friend Erika, her husband Al, and their amazingly adorable little girl Liana. She is such a doll! She really loved being in front of the camera and playing dress up!!!

After our photo session I went to the outlets to exchange my wristlet from Coach because the zipper was broken. When I got home, I edited all the photos from this morning like a madwoman while Kelly and Jackson grocery shopped and Abby napped. Then we went on a walk, ate dinner, and now we're relaxing while the kids are in bed :)

Pictures of Liana from today:

Today was such a fun day! We went to the Cheesecake Factory and shopping with Kristen, had steak fajitas for dinner, and then spent the night relaxing and watching TV.

This picture made me LOL!!!

May 18, 2012

3 things I learned today:

1) 7 month olds + seamless = fail. Abby likes to army crawl so I couldn't get a pic of her just on the plexi. Then I had her in the basket and that lasted all of 5 minutes before she started trying to get out.

2) I need to repaint my dining room. All of my pics from today have an orange glow, and because of this I don't love my edits.

3) I need that Sigma 30mm f/1.4. I could hardly get any pics of Abby because my 50mm causes me to be right up in her face. They all look like close-ups.
